ReportPlain is built around a core privacy principle: your medical data is yours. We do not store, sell, or share the report content you submit. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how.
Report content: When you paste or upload a medical report, that text or file is sent to our server solely to generate an explanation. It is processed in memory and is not written to any database or log. Once the response is returned to your browser, the data is discarded.
Usage data: We track how many reports you have used this month using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.
Contact form submissions: If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message in order to respond to you. This information is transmitted by email and is not stored in a database.
Payment data: Payments are handled by third-party processors. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers.
Report content is used only to generate your plain-English explanation via AI. It is never used for training AI models, advertising, analytics, or any other purpose. Contact form data is used only to respond to your inquiry.
We use the Anthropic API to process report text and generate explanations. Report content is transmitted to Anthropic's servers under their API terms of service. We recommend reviewing Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle API data.
We use Google Fonts for typography, which may result in a request to Google's servers when you load the page. No personally identifiable information is transmitted in this request.
We do not use tracking cookies. We use your browser's localStorage to store your usage count, billing plan status, and display preference (light/dark mode). This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us.
We do not retain your medical report content after your session. Contact form messages are retained in email for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, then deleted.
ReportPlain is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
Because we do not store your report content, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete in relation to your medical data. For contact form data, you may request deletion by emailing support@reportplain.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
